History of the Quellenhof Leutasch The Quellenhof was built in the 60s. Until 1985 the Quellenhof was a small guest house and was called Jagdhof back then. The daughter of the owner at the time was a woman with vision and she re-christened the 'Jagdhof' which became the 'Quellenhof'. Consequently, over the course of several reconstruction phases, it was turned into a family and sports hotel and became one of the first Wellness hotels in Austria. The hotel started to offer natural cooking, special teas and massages. Various saunas, a swimming pool, quiet rooms and outdoor pools followed later. Beauty treatments and more massage rooms were added. In the meantime the Quellenhofs Wellness suite now features 21 treatment rooms for 18 therapists, who are employed all year round. The Quellenhof is owned by an Austrian family. The Leutaschtal Valley At 1130m above sea level and surrounded by the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountain chains, Leutaschtal is one of the most beautiful high valleys in the Tyrol. You can experience nature at its best here whilst enjoying hiking, walking and cycling. In summer you can enjoy warm summer sunshine and lush green meadows. Every day the fresh air invites you to walks along the Leutascher Ache or into the Gaistal valley, where writer Ludwig Ganghofer used to cleanse his soul back in his day. Or simply stroll through the next forest and take deep, deep breaths. Streams and lakes On your walks and hikes you will discover natural lakes in a romantic setting such as the lakes of Sebensee, Igelsee, Moeserer See, Forchensee, Lautersee and many more. The Leutascher Ache and Gaistalbach streams carry crystal clear water down to the valley. Numerous pebble banks offer the chance to sunbathe and have a picnic. Forests, mushrooms and berries In our forests you can discover a wide variety of mushrooms such as boletus, ceps and chanterelles, plus many more.
