The Old House Village Suites & Hotel is a boutique hotel comprising of 34 fully contained modern suites. We are settled along the Courtenay River amongst majestic gardens. We are located in downtown Courtenay close to great shopping and dining, the Comox International Airport and Mount Washington Alpine Resort. Our One Bedroom Suites offer a private bedroom with California king size bed, ensuite bathroom, gas or electric fireplace in living room area with queen pull-out sofa and flat screen televisions, full modern kitchen, in-suite stacked washer and dryer and a balcony or patio. The hotel and suites have been designed and inspired by the West Coast, with large wood timberframes, slate and earthtones which give it an intimate and cosy feeling. The entire building is non smoking and we have a No Pet Policy.

Deluxe Penthouse Loft Suite King bed in loft and Queen pull-out sofa Our fully contained Deluxe Penthouse Loft Suite features a full modern kitchen on the main floor, dining area, wet bar with miniature fridge and sink, powder room and stacked washer & dryer. The living room area has a gas fireplace, flat screen television, Queen pull-out sofa and access to the balcony. Up the stairs to the loft bedroom there is a California king size bed, gas fireplace, flat screen television and corner Jacuzzi. The loft bathroom features double sinks and a tiled shower.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite King bed in bedroom and Queen pull-out sofa Our fully contained Deluxe One Bedroom Suites offer a California king size bed in a private bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The living room area has a gas or electric fireplace, flat screen television and queen pull-out sofa. Each suite has a full modern kitchen, dining area and even a stacked washer & dryer. In the summer time enjoy the views from the private balcony or patio.
Directions
From the Inland Island Highway: Off the Inland Island Highway take the Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland exit. Turn right onto Cumberland Road. Shortly after Cumberland Road will turn into 29th Street. At the 29th Street and Cliffe Avenue intersection, turn left towards downtown Courtenay. Before passing the 17th Street Bridge, turn right onto 19th Street. On the left hand side off 19th Street is Riverside Lane. Follow this road and we are located on the right hand side 1800 Riverside Lane. From the airport: From the Comox Valley International Airport, turn right onto Knight Road. Follow Knight Road until it intersects with a stop sign with Lerwick Road. Turn left on Lerwick Road and follow through until it turns with a sharp right into Comox Avenue. Follow Comox Avenue in downtown Comox until you are driving alongside the estruary, this portion of the road has changed names to Comox Road. At the next intersection turn left onto the 17th Street bridge. After the bridge turn left at the next intersection onto Cliffe Avenue. Turn left at the following intersection onto 19th Street. On the left hand side is Riverside Lane and we are located on the right hand side 1800 Riverside Lane.

Located right next door to the Old House Village Suites & Hotel is Tomato Tomato, formerly the Old House Restaurant which is a casual dining establishment. Tomato Tomato is open daily for lunch and dinner. The upper restaurant offers comfortable seating under vaulted, timber framed ceilings with spectacular views of the river and grounds, and warm seats by the fire. The intimate lower restaurant features soft lighting, comfortable leather arm chairs and another cozy fireplace. On sunny summer days, the river-view patio is the place to be! (The patio is open May through September, weather permitting). Or, belly up to the bar in the busy lounge and watch us create crisp mojitos and fresh juice martinis. Two big screen plasma TVs will keep you tuned in to the latest sports and news casts and the giant river-rock fireplace will warm you from the inside out. There are many other fantastic locally owned and operated dining establishments a short drive from the hotel such as Martine's Bistro, Atlas Cafe Bar & Grill, Avenue, Monte Cristo and the Blackfin Pub.

You can ski, kayak and golf all in the same day from the Old House Village Suites. Let us show you how and more... Skiing & Snowshoeing, Snowboarding: Enjoy downhill skiing/snowboarding, Nordic skiing, or the new craze of snowshoeing at Mount Washington Alpine Resort from December to April. The ski area is less than 45 minutes by car from the Old House Village Suites. Ski at Mount Washington: www.mountwashington.ca Golf: Vancouver Island offers some of the most premier golf courses in British Columbia and, from The Old House Village, there is a fantastic selection of courses for golfers of all levels and handicaps. Crown Isle (Graham Cook design), Storey Creek, Fairwinds, Morningstar International, Pheasant Glen (the latter four designed by Les Furber) are all within a one hour drive of your suite. For those who are intimidated by a premier course, both the quaint towns of Courtenay and Comox offer some terrific, less intimidating greens. Kayaking: Whether it is a half-day tour visiting shipwrecks, a full-day touring sandy beaches, or a moonlit paddle including dinner, there is a kayak tour available for you from the most timid beginner to the most adventurous expert. Comox Valley Kayaks is a 5 minute walk from the front door of the hotel. Fishing: Everyone knows that Vancouver Island is one of the best places in the world to go fishing! Currently we have our lobby space which can accommodate functions of up to 60 people with a stand up cocktail style. In addition we have the first floor of our Penthouse Suite which can be set up for a sit down meeting for approximately 8-12 people. We offer a white board and can provide water and coffee service.
