The Budget Host Derrick Motel is located just off I-25 at exit 11 in Trinidad, CO, on the original Santa Fe Trail. Enjoy our comfortable amenities while recreating in scenic Sugarite Canyon State Park with a variety of seasonal activities from hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and fishing for lake trout at Lake Maloya. West of town, take a relaxing drive on the Scenic Highway of Legends to Trinidad State Park for outdoor adventures. Small pets allowed for a pet fee per pet per night. From Colorado Springs: go south on I-25, about 120 miles to exit 11, the Budget Host Derrick Motel Trinidad is located on the east side of Exit 11 and north 1 block on Santa Fe Trail. Look for their 96 foot tall Oil Derrick on the front of the property with signage that flashes motel, RV Park.
