The Sundy House, the home of the first Mayor of Delray Beach, Florida was built in 1902. The Sundy House is now known as the "Best Kept Secret" in Delray Beach. Our boutique Inn consists of eleven guest rooms or suites, each with its own individual personality. Our property boasts hardwood floors, hand-painted walls, and suites with full kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and washers/dryers, in addition to balconies or patios. Our most deluxe accommodation, the historic cottage features a fireplace, plasma screen TV, Jacuzzi tub, and Rainforest showerhead. All room rates include breakfast. Our award winning restaurant Del La Tierra serves dinner and our famous Sundy Brunch voted best brunch in Palm Beach County by the Sun-Sentinel and Boca Magazine. Guest rooms and the restaurant are quaintly nestled in the heart of the Taru Gardens, home to over 500 species of exotic plants, ferns, fruit trees and bamboo. Cascading waterfalls, ponds and a tranquil tropical setting create a romantic atmosphere. We are proud to be known as the ecologically conscious oasis of Delray Beach.

Built in 1902. Mahogany floors throughout. Free standing cottage with a king size bed, full kitchen, living room, dining room, two bathrooms and a washer/dryer. Fireplace, plasma screen TV, jacuzzi tub, and rain shower. Breakfast included.

One Bedroom Suite

Room Titles: Coral Reef Suite & Sunset Suite. Individually themed townhouse suites with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and private balcony overlooking the Taru gardens. Washer and Dryer located downstairs. Breakfast included.

King Deluxe

Room Titles: The Downs Room, The Painted Pony, The Belmont Room, & The Secretariat. Equestrian themed rooms with one King size bed and private balcony or patio. Located on Ground or Second level facing the Taru gardens and upper pond. Breakfast incl.

Superior Double with Kitchennette w/ breakfast

From the airport, exit Southern Boulevard (FL-700, W/FL-80), take I-95 South towards Miami. Travel south on I-95 for 14.77 miles, to the Atlantic Avenue exits. Take Atlantic Avenue east from I-95, you will be passing 5 traffic lights (0.85 miles). At the 5th traffic light, make a right onto South Swinton Avenue. We are 1 block down, on the right hand side.

Fort Lauderdale International Airport: N

From the airport, take I-95 north. I-95 to Atlantic Avenue east, 5 traffic lights to South Swinton Avenue. Make a right onto South Swinton. Sundy House is located 1 block south of Atlantic, on the right hand side of the street.
