A classic Key West guesthouse offering casual lodging in a private compound just one block from famous Duval Street. Centrally located in the Historic District, the property is within easy walking distance to all of Key West's attractions including restaurants, shopping, nightlife, galleries, beaches, and historic neighborhoods. The property offers a variety of room styles including suites, cottages, and economical rooms. This private, walled compound features tropical gardens, a heated pool, and daily continental breakfast. All rooms are non-smoking. Rooms do not have telephones.

Suite 1 King Bed

King Suites offer a romantic setting with a spacious room, a king-size four-poster bed, and sitting area. All suites also include a small refrigerator, private bath with shower, security safe, air conditioning, cable TV, Bahama fan, daily breakfast, and nice views overlooking the pool and courtyard, or the palm garden. Non-smoking room. Adults only. Maximum 2 persons.

These rooms are cozy and rustic, and perfect for two. Non-smoking, adults only. Merlin Guesthouse originally opened as the Simonton Street Rooming House for Navy personnel in the 1930Â’s. You can enjoy our rooming house history in these cute rooms that represent an excellent value in Key West lodging. All rooms open out to a porch: either our front porch overlooking Simonton Street, or the back porch overlooking our palm garden.

Directions

Key West Airport

Turn left *east* out of the airport exit onto South Roosevelt Blvd. Follow Roosevelt Blvd as it curves around the island and turns west toward Old Town. Continue on the same road, which will change names to Truman Avenue as you enter Old Town. Continue on Truman to Simonton Street. Turn right at the stoplight and proceed 1 and Â½ blocks to Merlin Guesthouse which will be on the right.

Miami Airport

Take the airport exit directing you to 836 West. Follow 836 to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Turnpike south until its termination in Florida City. From Florida City take US1 south to Key West. Turn right at the end of US1 (North Roosevelt Blvd.) Follow Roosevelt Blvd., staying in the middle lane until it turns into Truman Avenue.

On-Site Dining: Complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning, under the courtyard arbor, from 8:30am to 10:30am. Selections include fresh brewed coffee, orange juice, croissants, bagels and cream cheese, english muffins with butter and jam, sweet muffins (such as banana nut), toast, oranges and hot teas.

5 public tennis courts are located 7 blocks east of hotel at Bayview Park. There is no charge to use these courts.
