The Gateway to Wales Hotel is a hotel nestled on the border of North Wales and Cheshire and ideally located for the historic city of Chester, Chester Zoo, Chester Races, Macarthur Glen retail outlet and the breathtaking scenery of the North Wales Coastline. The hotel offers guests excellent accommodation with 40 en-suite bedrooms . Directions

Directions from the M6 motorway: Exit the M6 at junction 20, following signs to Chester and North Wales on the M56. At the end of the M56 you will come to a roundabout. Take the 1st exit, following signs for Queensferry. At the next roundabout (Little Chef on your left), take the 2nd exit. At the traffic lights, keep in the left lane, following signs for Queensferry, then take the 1st exit off the carriageway, signposted Chester A548. At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the 1st exit, following signs for Chester. You will pass RAF Sealand on your left. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted Garden City. The Gateway To Wales Hotel will be in front of you. Directions from North Wales: Take the A55 dual carriageway in the direction of Chester. Follow the signs for Queensferry A494. Continue past the Queensferry exit (you will see an Asda superstore on your left). Continue over the River Dee and take the next exit off the dual carriageway, signposted Chester A548. Turn left at the roundabout, and The Gateway To Wales Hotel is on the left hand side, immediately after the roundabout.

The hotel's Louis XVI Bar is the ideal venue to relax and unwind after a busy day. You are most welcome to occupy a peaceful corner and relax with a novel, newspaper or perhaps a gin and tonic! We serve morning coffee, afternoon tea and a selection of bar snacks. Bar snacks are offered in both the Louis XVI bar and the adjoining Regency Suite.

The Gateway to Wales Hotel is an excellent base for companies wishing to book an off site meeting. The hotel has very good communication links being located on the junction of the A548 and A494 (five miles west of Chester). The M56 and A55 are a mere 5 minutes away by car and the nearest railway station is Shotton. Whether you are looking to book a fully residential course (maximum 80 delegates) or perhaps a small meeting for a few hours we would be pleased to discuss your requirements.
