The Macdonald Bush Hotel Farnham, set in its own attractive landscaped garden, dates back from the early 17th Century and is reputed to be one of Englands oldest coaching inns. A favourite haunt for guests of this hotel is the candlelit, Oak beamed Coachmans Bar, where a log fire crackles in a centuries old fireplace. In fine weather, guests make for the Courtyard Patio, with its tables perched on ancient cobblestones. The lounge features atmospheric frescoes depicting historical scenes with, a rare oddity this, a sundial believed to reflect from the pond in the garden to tell the time. The Macdonald Bush Hotel Farnham is mentioned in Thackeray's novel The Virginians. While retaining all the charm and character of days gone by, the hotel offers modern conference facilities. Easily accessible from the M3 and London, The Bush Hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility in a busy world.

Thackerays Restaurant. The Hotel Restaurant - Excellent decor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the hotel grounds. Food is superbly prepared by the Executive Head Chef following a contemporary English Menu. Relaxed atmosphere but excellent service. Kar Ling Kwon. A maze of rooms interconnecting and lots of character. Good food, generous portions and prompt service. Cafe Rouge. Relaxed atmosphere, you can order anything from a coffee to a 3 course meal. This restaurant always has good traditional french dishes with a modern twist. Vienna Sturbl. Formal restaurant with a good reputation. Viennese and intimate, good Food and service - consistant throughout. Darjeeing. Superb indian food. Very attentive service. More intimate if a booth can be booked.
