The hotel is in the traditional Victorian style and dates back to 1864. All bedrooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated with a choice of king, queen, double or twin beds, executive rooms, half-tester beds, family room/suites and a luxury suite with king size bed, original marble fire places and ceiling moldings. There is a choice of dining - in the restaurant offering a choice of ?? la carte or table d'h??te menus or a more relaxing snack in the bar or Leas Lounge with views over the English Channel - the Harvey Bar offers a range of traditional beers and is decorated in the style of a gentleman's club. Choices of five well-equipped function rooms are available with seating for up to 80-theatre style. Located only four miles from the Channel Tunnel terminal and excellent motorway system, the Best Western Clifton Hotel is well placed for links to Europe. Dover is only seven miles away with its ferry and hover speed terminals and Folkestone has its own hover speed link to Boulogne. Canterbury with its historic Cathedral and many more places of interest are within easy driving distance.
