The Brookfield Hotel is located in Emsworth near Havant and just a few miles from Chichester and the city of Portsmouth. The hotel is easily accessible from the M27 and A3 motorways and has a large adjacent carpark. Set in it's own landscaped gardens, the hotel provides high quality accommodation with all rooms recently refurbished in a modern, comtemporary style with flat screen TV's and stylish bathrooms. The Hermitage Restaurant is well renowned throughout the local area for its good food and excellent service. Light and airy conference rooms make the hotel an ideal venue for small meetings and events.

Directions

From the M27(A27) motorway in the direction of Chichester (Eastbound). The Emsworth exit is very shortly after the Havant exit. If you miss it the next exit is Chichester 9 miles on. From the motorway follow the signs for Emsworth (A259). The hotel is about half a mile on the left hand side just before the Texaco garage. An alternative route is down the A3(M). Take the B2149 turnoff, follow the road until you get to a mini roundabout at Rowlands Castle. Take the second exit (forking left) down Whichers Gate Road (B2149). Following this road will eventually lead into Emsworth via going under the railway bridge and down North Street. You then get to another roundabout, take the right turn (A259) and the hotel is about one and a quarter miles on the right hand side past the Texaco garage. From Chichester take the A27 going towards Portsmouth coming off at the Emsworth exit, follow the signs to Emsworth (A259). The hotel is about half a mile on the left hand side, just before the Texaco garage.

The Hermitage Restaurant is one of the hotel's most popular features and has deservedly won a National Restaurant Award. The Menu uses fresh produce and the quietly attentive service in spacious surroundings ensures the restaurant is well frequented both by hotel guests and local people. The Hermitage Restaurant is a non-smoking restaurant.

Area Attractions

Emsworth - Emsworth village centre is only a short walk away where visitors can enjoy the range of village shops, relax with a quiet drink in one of the ten pubs or just savour the attractions of the village's historic buildings and views over The Mill Pond. With a population of only 9,000 you will be pleasantly surprised by what the village has to offer and may be tempted to return for the annual Food Festival which in 2006 will be held during the weekend of September 8th -10th. More energetic guests may enjoy walking around the shores of Chichester Harbour which is only a five minute walk through the fields from the hotel. Portsmouth - Portsmouth offers shopping opportunities, perhaps at the new development of Gun Wharf Quay where you can also see the construction of Portsmouth's Millennium Tower due to be completed in 2005, sadly five years late and now renamed The Spinnaker Tower. Historical attractions abound and include The Historic Naval Dockyard, Charles Dickens' Birth Place and The D- Day Museum on Southsea seafront. Portsmouth also has a ferry port with frequent and regular sailings to the ports of Normandy, Brittany and Santander in Spain. Chichester - Chichester is a city with a rich historical and cultural heritage ranging from its ancient cathedral to the twentieth century Festival Theatre. The City Museum provides an insight into the history of the city and the surrounding area of West Sussex. Nearby are the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum and The Roman Palace at Fishbourne, the finest example of a Roman Villa in the UK. Chichester is also the home of The Royal Military Police whose head quarters are located in the northern outskirts of the city. The South Downs - The South Downs - spend a day at the races at Goodwood ,visit a country house at Uppark, stroll around the grounds at Stansted Park, view the extensive gardens at West Dean or visit the unique Weald and Downland Museum at Singleton. These are just some of the attractions that can be found nearby.
