Aylesbury Country House Hotel is a well kept secret, set in twelve acres of beautiful grounds with panoramic views over the Warwickshire countryside. It is an ideal base for a visit to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Birmingham and the Cotswolds. Aylesbury Country House Hotel is a combination of old world charm and modern convenience. Formerly a private manor house which dates back to the Stuarts Era but other architectural features have been added during the Tudor, Jacobean and Georgian Times.

Directions

By Car From the M42 motorway Leave the M42 at Junction 4 (signed Henley-in- Arden A4300).Join the A4300 (Stratford Road), following signs to Hockley Heath and Henley-in-Arden. Continue along the A3400 for two miles until the Junction with the B4101, turn left onto the B4101 (Aylesbury Road). The entrance to the Hotel is on the left hand side. From the M40 Southbound motorway Leave the M40 at Junction 16 (signed Henley-in-Arden and the A3400). Join the A3400 (Stratford Road) following signs to Hockley Heath. Turn right onto the B4101 (Aylesbury Road) and the entrance to the hotel is on the left hand side. From the M40 Northbound motorway Follow M40 to it's conclusion then join the M42 towards the NEC and Birmingham Airport. Leave the M42 at Junction 4 (signed Henley-in-Arden and the A3400). Follow above directions from the M42. By Train Birmingham International Airport Station is on the West Coast mainline. Solihull is the nearest station. There are direct links from Solihull to Banbury, Leamington Spa and Warwick. Taxis are available at both the Airport and Solihull Station.

A buffet style breakfast is served in the Mulberry Restaurant, overlooking the lawns to the front of the Manor House. In the evening, the Mulberry Restaurant is transformed into an atmosphere of which is conducive to good conversation, background music and good wine. Please inform the Hotel of any special dietary requirements.

Area Attractions

Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull within a 10 min. drive from hotel Bournville Chocolate Factory, Bournville within a 30 min drive Stratford upon Avon, home of the Bard, Shakespeare is within a 20 min drive from hotel Warwick Castle, Warwickshire is but a 15-20 min drive. The distinctive Cotswolds stone is first visible in Broadway, which is approx 30 minutes south of the hotel. Worcester and its picturesque countryside is 50 mins from Aylesbury Country House Hotel and just south of Worcester there is Gloucester Docks and the wonderful regency houses of Cheltenham are approx 1 hour from the hotel.

Shakespeare's followers will delight in his birthplace of Stratford upon Avon. Your visit should include the many houses in which he spent his life and that of his wife, Anne Hathaway. Shows can be booked in advance on your behalf. Dedicate a special day for a visit to Warwick Castle, experts at recreating centuries of English history. Something for all ages! The Cotswolds is an area of such individual beauty which should not be missed. Meandering streams through the little village streets are the very essence of the Cotswolds. Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK now combines the culture of an international city with it's Symphony Hall attracting many of the finest orchestras in the world, for it's exceptional acoustics, together with ballet companies, science museums and canals which have been restored in recent years to their former glory. This has attracted visitors to the many restaurants, sea life centre and national indoor arena. The combination of old and modern architecture is clearly visible in the recently opened bull ring shopping centre.
