Built out of the local mellow stone, owned and operated by the same family since 1953. Set in a large well kept garden with several acres of woodland, in the midst of the countryside but easy to find it is almost adjoining the famous Westonbirt Arboretum. The atmosphere is one of spacious elegance with informality. The Best Western Hare and Hounds Hotel is comfortable and relaxing in summer or winter. The impressive restaurant, with high standards of cooking and constant variety, overlooks the lawns. There are spacious lounges and bars with a real village inn atmosphere. Squash and tennis courts are on the grounds, snooker and table tennis inside. You will really enjoy your stay in Westonbirt. The lounges, friendly real-ale bars and restaurant attracts both travelers and locals alike. The famous arboretum is next door, the historic city of Bath just 21 miles away and swimming just half a mile away at Westonbirt School's superb new indoor pool.
