Welcome to Domus Guesthouse and Apartments...Your Home Away from Home. Located in the heart of Reykjavik, only a few steps away from the busy Laugavegur shopping street, the City Center Pond and Gardens, Icelands finest restaurants, museums, cafes and bars. Domus Guesthouse is a very attractive stone building in the heart of Reykjavik at Hverfisgata 45. This was the former Norwegian Embassy and before that a known singing school in Iceland. You will find a warm reception at Domus and moderate prices, we take pride in our personal service and friendly environment making sure that you will feel right at home during your stay with us. We have 12 spacious double rooms with shared bathroom and shower facilities. Also we offer three family apartments with a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a sleeping area for 4-6 persons. Breakfast is included with accommodation in Single and Double rooms. Please note that breakfast is only served during summer season, from the 01.June.2007-01.October.2007. Our check in time is from 1400-2300, please note that most flights from the USA arrive in Iceland between 0600 and 0800 in the morning. If you wish to check in early we can offer you the night before you arrive on half price.

DOUBLE STANDARD

Bright and nicely decorated rooms television, radio,CD player, Garden View All our rooms are tastefully decorated in soft colors giving our guests the feeling of comfort. Rooms include TV ,alarm clock and wireless internet access in every room, radio, cd player. Domus Guesthouse has three floors, on each floor there are 4 rooms sharing a bathroom and shower facilities. Linen and towels are provided and breakfast is included in price during summer season from 01.June-01.October. Towels and garbage bags are changed every third day. Linen is changed every sixth day.

Luxury Apartment

Large shared dorm with sectioned areas, Bright area, shared dormitory, A large shared room with 10 bunk beds, sleeping bag accomidation for as many as 25 persons. Shared bathroom and shower facilitys, breakfast is not included in price.

Directions

Keflavik International Airport /KEF/ When you are driving from the airport make sure you follow the signs that say Reykjavik. When you enter Reykjavik City you follow the signs to the City Center - it is good to have a map open at this point. Upon entering the City Center you will see Laugavegur Street, our street Hverfisgat, is the next street after Laugarvegur.

Area Attractions

Only 3 minute walking distance from the main shopping street Laugarvegur. A 5 minute walking distance from the Icelandinc art museum, 5 minutes walking distance from the ocean, a 5 minutes walking distance from the oldest and most atractive part of town. A 10 minutes walking distance from the down town area park and city pond.
