Maharaja 1 Bedroom Suite (B1S) - A much earthier and certainly a more masculine mood prevails in Maharaja Umaid Singh's suite just across the crystal fountain that adorns the lobby separating his suite from his Maharani's. The Maharaja Suite offers a large living room and a king bedded room, which has murals of leopards, tigers and horses and even of the famed Jodhpur sport, pig sticking. Flaming Torch lamps in chrome, plus Ruhlmann sofas in faux leopard skin, the delightful mirrored bar in the drawing room and the original artifacts that still adorn the shelves make this an incredibly handsome suite. Maharani 1 Bedroom Suite (A1S) - Originally designed for and indeed once graced by Umaid Singh's Maharani, the beautiful and charismatic Badan Kanwar, the Maharani Suite is rather appropriately dominated by a Stefan Norblin mural of the Goddess Kali etched on shining black glass. All in pink and black and chrome and mirror, this suite was indeed worthy of the queen it was built for, and all of the original Art Deco has been retained. The suite includes a large king bedded room, spacious drawing and dining rooms with an attached kitchenette, an enormous balcony with a spectacular view of the palace garden and the Mehrangarh Fort, a dressing room with a wardrobe only a queen could find small, and the piece de resistance - a bath, also designed by Norblin, carved out of a single piece of pink Italian marble.
