Glin Castle, home to the 29th Knight of Glin, has been in the Fitzgeral family for 800 years. Situated 32 miles west of Limerick city on the banks of the Shannon River on a 500 acre estate, its one of the last of the the great houses to still be lived in by the original family. Superb interiors with new classic plaster work, rare flying staircase and reportedly the best location of Irish 18th century furniture, pictures and porcelain in private hands. Formal gardens and pleasure grounds, picture same walled kitchen garden. Within easy reach of five championship golf courses.

Standard guest room with queen bed, king bed, or 2 twin beds. Situated in the old castle wing or on the third floor of the castle and all have a garden view. Each room is individually decorated and furnished with antiques. All rooms have CH, direct dial telephone, cable television, multichannel television, CD and DVD players, radio alarm, hairdryer, trouser press, iron/ironing board, bathrobes, and private bathroom with tub and walk-in shower. Shannon Airport: SW
From the airport, take N18 to Limerick then N69. Follow N69 for approximately 32 miles. Turn left into Glin Village and right at the top of the square.
Tralee Airport: N
From the airport, take N69 direction Listowec, then Tarbert. Once through Tarbert, watch for Glin Village. Turn right into village and right again at the top of the square.
