Guest Rooms

The hotel has 232 rooms and suites, with two Executive floors and three non-smoking floors. All rooms have a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a bidet, hairdryer, safe-deposit box, minibar, remote-controlled colour television with cable channels and pay movies, an office desk, air conditioning, 24-hour room service, modem connections for computers and direct dial telephone with voicemail and wake-up facilities.

Junior Suite

These suites are composed of two bathrooms, a king-size bed and a living room. Facilities in this room are the same as a standard room.

Diplomatic Suite

This suite has a kitchenette with direct service access, two bathrooms and a living room. There is the possibility of an adjoining standard twin room. Facilities in this room the same as standard room, plus a fax machine.

Presidential Suite

This suite also benefits from a kitchenette with a separate service access, two bathrooms and one fantastic living room. It has an impressive view over the riverside and the possibility of an adjoining standard twin room. Facilities in the room are the same as in Diplomatic Suite.

Suite Club

Luxurious 36-square metre room, with a separate den equipped with a desk. Facilities in this suite are the same as a Standard room.

Executive Floor

The hotel's two upper floors, (14th and 15th) with a city view. All rooms are equipped with a fax and benefit from full VIP service and VIP guest amenities. Facilities are identical to a Standard room.

Poivron Rouge Restaurant and Bar

Poivron Rouge offers an international and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Choose from a wide range of Porto wines and cocktails and a varied selection of light meals that include sandwiches, salads and snacks, all accompanied by piano music. Open - Poivron Rouge Restaurant for breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, dinner from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.Poivron Rouge Bar from 10:30 am to 1:00 am.

Olympia Disco

A private club with a cosy atmosphere, refurbished in 2002, and with a capacity to accommodate 120 people. The latest hits, as well as some of the most famous 'oldies', make this the ideal place to enjoy an evening's dancing.

Porto

Porto is one of the oldest and culturally richest cities in the nation and in Europe. Its houses, streets and plazas attest to its unusually diverse and long history. The second largest in Portugal, its historical district has the well-deserved title of 'World Heritage Site' by UNESCO and for two centuries Porto has been internationally famous for the flavour of its wine. The city's energy is surprising and attractive, as are its historic vestiges and its inhabitants. For maximum enjoyment, you should visit on foot, using public transportation only when necessary.

Theatre and Musicals

Theatre and musicals are popular choices for entertainment in Porto and the theatres and concert halls host all kinds of events, including plays, concerts, ballet, opera etc. Most of the art galleries are concentrated in the Cedofeita area (ten minutes by car from the hotel). The Serralves Contemporary Art Museum was built by the famous Portuguese architect, Alvaro Siza, in 1999. Is the only project of its kind in the country and is the largest cultural centre in the North of Portugal (two minutes by car from the hotel). If you want to try the famous Porto wine and feel it's rich composition, body and long lasting flavour, you have to visit the wine cellars in Ribeira, (ten minutes by car from the hotel).

Foz

If you would like to be among the beautiful and chic of Porto, head to the Foz, (three minutes by car from the hotel), right by the sea, where you will notice the designer clothes and expensive cars. While this area is full of bars and restaurants, the wooden esplanades built over the sand are the most popular, and very delightful for having a drink and basking in the sun.
