The hotels Colonnade Ballroom- once a popular spot for special events hosted by the Shenandoah Valley society in the hotels early years- has also been restored and features graceful 20-foot arched windows- as well as the refurbishment of floors- antique light fixtures- moldings and detailed decorative ironwork that evokes a sense of Southern charm and spirit. The hotels mezzanine has also been restored- and is now the site of the properties famed 1924 Wurlizter Organ. This one-of-a-kind instrument has graced the hotels Colonnade Ballroom for three quarters of a century and- as part of the hotels overall renovation- has been precisely restored to its original condition and reinstalled in the hotels mezzanine- which overlooks the hotel lobby and Colonnade Ballroom.
