The Spirit of /Tailor-Made/ Accommodation The Royal Windsor Hotel Grand Place in Brussels has opted for extreme personalisation by entrusting the decoration of a selection of their guest rooms to Belgian famed Fashion Designers. The Fashion rooms offer a fundamentally different world of experience to travellers seeking novelty sensation and exclusivity. The Belgian stylists Mademoiselle Lucien Jean-Paul Knott Gerald Watelet and Marina Yee have designed the first four Fashion rooms. Six other Fashion Rooms have just opened to create unforgettable nights at the Royal Windsor Hotel Grand Place. They feature artistry by six Belgian fashion designers representing widely different styles Haider Ackermann Pascale Kervan Nina Meert Romy Smits Kaat Tilley and Nicolas Woit. The two latest Fashion Rooms designed by Christian Wijnants and Xavier Delcour were launched in 2007. All Fashion Designers express a very different vision of fashion and share a preference for an art of living that is in harmony with the art of dressing. -Jean-Paul Knott has created a very minimalist room with straight lines a retro projector and a HIFI system with his selection of CD??s and DVD??s and bamboos outside the window. Xavier Delcour??s Fashion Room resembles him intimately. You enter and it's like visiting an apartment. Well defined areas harmoniously orchestrated into a total space that is in essence quite restrained. Xavier Delcour??s Fashion Room is a /jewel casket/. -Christian Wijnants A mirrored floor-to-ceiling partition gives the room rhythm separates it while at the same time making it appear larger. Almost no furniture since there are discreet utility walls. There are niches and alcoves for practical items and detail. The wardrobe safe and bar are revealed by lightly touching the wall partitions with the fingers. Another special feature is the Tivoli radio in the bedroom and bathroom a beautiful object that is heard but not seen ?? /In conventional hotel rooms you have no choice but to turn on the television to have sound/ says Christian.
